Behaviorists: Dogs feel no shame despite "the look"

The next time you start shaking your finger and shouting, "Shame on you!" because your dog chewed up your favorite fuzzy slippers, just remember that no matter how guilty your dog looks, it doesn't know what your rant is about.

Behaviorists insist dogs lack shame. The guilty look — head cowered, ears back — is a reaction to the tantrum you are throwing now over the damage they did hours earlier.

"Just get over it and remind yourself not to put temptation in the way next time," said Dr. Bonnie Beaver, a professor at Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine and executive director of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.

First things first, Sue Manning, is a cat person to the highest degree. Not just a cat person, but a wrong cat person. Who does this broad think she is? Of course dogs feel shame, and compassion and love. What do your 16 cats in your 1 bedroom apartment feel? Evil and what precious item they're going to piss and puke all over next. Think about that next time you're eating your bologna and kitty litter sandwich on rye being nothing short of the 'crazy cat lady'

Next, lets get onto to Dr. Bonnie Beaver (HA!) trying to give her 'science' saying its a reaction to you throwing a tantrum not to what they did. Yeah whatever you fake porn name having doctor. Shame is shame and that dog feels shame for you being upset whether or not they care about the slipper they chewed up and humped into bolivian. Bet you're the faculty that was against Johnny Football having college station by the balls for 2 straight years.

PS if you don't think the dog in that picture is anything short of intolerably adorable...you have a gigantic dump right in your pants.
